I've only played it three times because I'm lazy and the Katz room with the skits is all I ever need.

GRACES LOOKS SO COOL i just will never own the systems for it.

I have to say that Vesperia is my favorite! (mostly because I got further in it than any other Tales game HAHAHA) I love the characters and the twists and stuff in it uwu I haven't really finished it yet, but I have restarted it a few 4 times already, hahaha. I JUST LOVE EVERYONE IN THE GAME and it was also my first Tales of series game, so I guess that is probably why :T It was also my first game where I actually loved all of the party members :D

I would say Xillia, but I haven't gotten far enough to gauge if I like it more than Vesperia yet.

I keep stopping and starting Vesperia so I always get lost there. Not good.

xillia recently bumped graces out of my favourites spot - i've only played it once so far, but that was all i needed ahahah... all the main party members in the game are just so amazing to me. if my starter deck is any indication, i really love jude.......

the party members all inspire me so much, especially characters like jude, leia, alvin, and milla. watching them all grow and learn from being with one another really hits me hard.

I used to say my favorite was "whichever Tales game I'm playing at the time" but recently... it's gotta be Xillia. I just really enjoy everything about it and played it through 3 times straight (and starting on a fourth play, whoops...) The last Tales game I did that for previously was Abyss.

I have a soft spot for Legendia always, though. It's more underrated than it should be!

Legendia always has my heart, for reals. It's such a lovely game.

In terms of party dynamics, I definitely have to go with Legendia here. It's definitely the red-headed step-child of the Tales games, but I'm still really fond of all the ways the characters interact with each other. Also idc what anyone says I liked the character quests okay.

In terms of battle system though, definitely Xillia. It was easy to get the hang of and very smooth.

uwu Tales of Xillia is my favorite because it's just so much fun to play and also because I actually legit like every character in the party, which doesn't always happen. I love the dynamics. I love the world. I love the story.

I also really, really, really, really love Abyss because hnng. It's just solid all ways around. And has my favorite Tales character in it which is Jade. I just get tired playing it sometimes, because nngh chirpees.

I keep wanting to play Xillia, I just... need a PS3.

ABYSS, definitely. Mostly because I really like the development Luke goes through throughout the entire game. He's a super dynamic, imperfect protagonist who learns soooo much as the game progresses, and his dynamics with the rest of the Abyss team are fun to watch. Also Anise is just highly entertaining.

I keep wanting to give Abyss another try. Maybe I will.

I'm gonna say Radiant Mythology because of nostalgia purposes-- despite being a Tales fan before then, RM1 is the game that got me into the Tales community into the first place. Also the lore. The lore, the lore, the lore. It lends itself well to making a giant multiverse out of the entire Tales series if you let it, and the way each RM game's mana system is a little (or a lot) different lets me think about the evolution of each world's magic basis and I could go on for hours about all the other things but I won't.

So long story short: I like RM1 because nostalgia and because it's like a set of Tales LEGOs that lets me make stupid theories and parallels about all the other Tales games. I've only played it 1 and a half times, but I've watched a playthrough of it on youtube at least 3 or 4 times orz;;

For a really long time, Abyss was my favorite, but now that prize goes to Xillia - partially because I'm head over heels girlcrushing on Milla, and the other part because viewing the story from the perspective of a relative noncombatant was kind of cool and awesome, and the other part the characters were stunning and well-done and another part the darkness in the plot was delicious. I've played it once through Jude's route and am taking my sweet time on Milla's so far.

Yeah, I think a lot of people are finding a new love in Xillia. It sounds like such a good game!

Mine is Vesperia for sure, and I really like it because I am completely in love with Yuri, ever since I saw him I fell for him and I love the way he manages things. Also I really like Estelle, I think she's my favourite female character from all the Tales games

Vesperia definitely looks like a good game! I want to sit down and just play it all the way through one weekend.

Symphonia, since it was my first and I just love everything about it :3c ~~(tho the combat now is pretty bad compare to almost every game that followed it...)~~ Abyss is a close second, followed by Xillia.

Symphonia! It's such a good game! I mean gosh. Who can deny that.

It was Graces because I really liked the plot and characters, but then Xillia took over that because even if it doesn't have the best plot, all the characters are amazing. Not to mention it helped me through rough spots, haha. I still need to beat it though because my partner has been too busy to play it with me.

Push your partner aside and take charge HELLL YEAH.

Destiny 2 was the first one to come to mind, so I guess that one. I adore the cast, and while the battle system has it's rough spots, it's pretty great for it's spot in the series. I've only beat it once though.

There's something to be said for the older Tales of games. The classics. Sometimes there's nothing like it.

My favorite Tales game is Abyss. I thought the characters and story were the most compelling. I've played it 3 times and watched the anime through once and read all the manga add-ons I could as I found them :3

I like Abyss's music but I'm one of those people who are really easy to please with music.

I like Legendia because everyone is so close-knit, they're like one big happy family! I can't ship anyone, but I think the overall character chemistry is the nicest in that game? I've replayed it 3 times, tho. One gameplay took me about 60 hours so I can't... play it many times lmao ~~Vaclav and Shirley aren't my favourite types of villain~~

Ugh that game will eat my life if I give it another chance AND YET...

Vesperia has to be my favorite. Because, it's one of the first games I completely fell in love with EVERYONE. Good guys, bad guys. Everyone is just a cutie sassy butt and I love that WHOOPS!

I've replayed probably around 10 times? Over the years. orz.

I feel out of place in Tales fandom at the moment because I don't like Xillia at all; my favourite is Symphonia and I can't say I expect that to change, especially with the PS3 port due out so soon. I'm not sure how to explain why, ahh, I just found it all-round very compelling and interesting, and I suppose I played it before I was too accustomed to RPG stereotypes, so it did have some surprises for me as well.

Graces is my second-favourite because it's absolutely shameless good fun and that's great.

Don't feel too out of place, I can't even play Xillia because it's on a system I don't own.

i'm going to hop onto the bandwagon and 70% of the comments because i really, really enjoy xillia! i was excited for it ever since it was announced back in the day and i think it's the first game where i honestly truly care about and love the entire main cast, who have really great chemistry with each other and they're just one big family and their character development is just great and [shoe screaming quietly and getting arrested for public disturbance] — the antagonists are compelling and likable in their weird way... it definitely has avoidable flaws that i Do Not want to talk about (stares into the distance) but if we ignore that, it really is enjoyable. plus it's really pretty and the battle system didn't make me want to tear my hair out!! (also it contains actual human trash alvin and my wife... strokes his hair gently)

second favourite is definitely vesperia — yuri is an amazing protagonist and i want his hair

A part of me wants to say Xillia like most everyone else but as much as I adore Xillia..... I just have this awful gross deep-seated emotional attachment to Vesperia, with no real explaination other than I was literally obsessed with it for like a year and then it took me 4 years to finish it... AND THEN I CRIED FOR LIKE 15 MINUTES JUST BECAUSE IT WAS OVER.

I can't choose, don't make me choose. I like them both a lot for different reasons. That's like asking me to choose between Raven and Gaius. I can't they are both my absolute favorites and I love the party chemistry of both games AND THE VILLAINS except maybe like Gilland fuck him.

THIS IS HARD I like a good few tales games for different reasons. I really love Xillia's battle system, for example, but I really miss Graces' eleth mixer, etc etc... I have a really soft spot for Abyss though, because my all-time favorite Tales character (Asch) is from that one. Yes let's go with that shallow reasoning.

also I am really bad at replaying Tales games because I try to make sure I do EVERYTHING in my first play through which is why... it takes me so long to finish a Tales game...

Abyss was my first, so there's nostalgia points there, but I really liked Vesperia too! But I haven't played or seen the others yet to really say, so for now it's Abyss.

you'll get there play symphonia first and then yell at the kids to get off of your lawn.

Tales of the Abyss is my favorite. Of the ones I played, I felt like the characters in it were the most fleshed out and the world building was a lot more interesting to me.

My favourite Tales game so far (I've only played 4.5...haha) is Tales of the Abyss. I think the characters were not only extremely easy to connect to and sympathize with but the storyline of the game was stunning. I think the entire concept of it was amazing and I've only played it once because once I beat it I let my boyfriend borrow it, and he gave it back early in 2013 but I was just busy with school and work that I never got around to playing it again.

I really should get on that...considering I've played Graces twice and Xillia I'm on my second run too...

I super love the characters, the story is great, and it's the first game in the series. 'w' Lots of friendship, growth, protection, and time travel happens in the game and also it has one of my OTPs to end all OTPs: Arche/Chester.
